How is the ENA competition organized in Senegal?
The ENA competition in Senegal is organized in such a way that any Senegalese graduate from the baccalaureate can participate. There are different corridors to access the competition. Indeed, the choice of access to the ENA is often made by the profile of the candidate. There are two types of paths, external intended for candidates who have never succeeded or participated in the competition and internal which concerns only members of the public service.

The ENA competition in Senegal is accessible through two routes. Indeed, any Senegalese between the ages of 18 and 33 in the year of the competition who has graduated with a master's degree can enter the competition through cycle A. In addition, any Senegalese citizen who has graduated from the baccalaureate can participate in the competition through cycle B. The competition is also accessible to professionals who wish to work in the administration through cycle A. What are the conditions to be met to participate in the ENA competition?
To enter the competition by cycle A the candidate must meet the following conditions:
- He must have a master's degree recognized by the State
- Professionals to participate in the competition must have an ENA diploma dating back at least five years. Or hold at least the license and a level of hierarchy B.
To participate in the contest through the cycle B you need :
- At least the bachelor's degree or an equivalent diploma
- For professionals, the candidate must have the baccalaureate and hold at least 5 years in the administration
What documents do I need to submit to participate in the competition?
To participate in the ENA direct competition in Senegal through cycle A or cycle B, you must submit the following documents:
- A handwritten request addressed to the director of the ENA
- A registration form to be completed available at the ENA
- A Senegalese birth certificate dated 3 months
- A record of at least 3 months
- A Senegalese nationality certificate
- A certificate of visit against visit
- A certified photocopy of the last diploma
- A CV showing the background and experiences of the candidate
- A recent photo ID

What are the registration fees for the ENA competition?
For professionals who wish to participate in the ENA competition in Senegal through cycle A or B, the application fees amount to CFAF 10,000.
In addition, external candidates will pay 8000 FCFA for cycle A and 5000 FCFA for cycle B.
What are the tests offered for the ENA Senegal competition?
Assessment of external candidates
- A review that focuses on public Law assessed within 5 hours. The test is very important, because it is a coefficient of 4. At the exam, a 10-page file will be given to each candidate.
- The candidates will also undergo tests on the economy with a coefficient of four which will take place under 4 hours.
- In addition, tests concerning general questions on the contemporary period will be treated with a duration of 5 hours and a coefficient of 4.

For external admission
- You will have to deal with tests on questions concerning the European Union over a period of 30 minutes with a coefficient of 3
- An oral test on international questions of the same duration and coefficient as the questions on the European Union
- An interview that will allow the jury to assess the career path of the candidates and their motivation
- An interaction test that will assess the skills of candidates and their interactions with their external environment. It will be about debating and taking part in discussions.
- An oral presentation on foreign languages: it will also involve reading an extract of around 600 words and then discussing with the jury the points covered in the document
