The village of the arts Dakar

The village of arts is located on the road to the old airport a few meters from the Léopold Sedar Senghor stadium. It aims to be a space for creation, production, dissemination, research, animation, promotion and exchange. It is thus open to all men of culture in Senegal and friendly countries, to ensure the promotion of artists and that of their works. Cultural showcase of Senegal, the village of the arts is a pleasant setting and a haven of tranquility. It is frequented by all kinds of people: gallery owners, museum curators, architects, men of culture, diplomats, students looking for a dissertation, journalists, politicians and private individuals. Distributed in 53 studios, all the artistic disciplines of the visual arts are represented there: painting, sculptor, ceramics, photography, video, installation. The Village also hosts school visits, and includes sculpture, ceramics and coaster workshops, which are sure to interest young and old alike. Moussa Sakho, one of the masters of the coaster, for example, knows how to present his art with pedagogy. This humanist artist also works with sick children in hospitals to whom he brings the happiness of creating.
