Bakery and pastry shop Located on Avenue Georges Pompidou near Place de l'Indépendance, La Galette offers a very nice selection of breads and cakes. Very well appreciated because of a good organization which minimizes a long wait, the staff is friendly and efficient. The frame is very nice. On the bakery side, we have a wide variety of very nice bread, burger sandwiches and other fast-food products the best in the whole city of Dakar and breakfast is served with several formulas, especially the hot croissants which let the customer wake up the whole daytime. At lunch, the choice is wide and keeps to its promises: texture, temperature, aroma, taste, everything is there. The dishes are well prepared so that we always want to come back. The reception at the tea room is always pleasant and friendly for wine and chocolate addicts. A wide selection of drinks and cocktails is also on offer. Open every day from 6:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. the establishment is very clean and has all the services to best satisfy its customers. When strawberry season hits in Dakar the best place to eat a strawberry pie is at la galette. For dessert, don't miss the almond tartlet or Bourdaloue and pistachio.

J’ai été vraiment embêtée juste pour passer une commande de pizza à livrer. J’ai dû faire plusieurs appels parcequ’au 1er, on m’a fait savoir que je ne pouvais payer que par orange money alors que je n’en disposait pas Pas par espèces à la livraison nii par wave ni par carte. Au 2ème appel, on me demande de donner une adresse exacte avec numéro de rue et autre alors que je leur ai dit que c á livrer au building Maginot rue victor Hugo x avenue lamine gueye . Je raccroche pour avoir le numéro de rue. Au 3ème appel, on décroche et on me raccroche au nez, au 4ème idem. C’est au 5ème que j’ai eu une certaine Maj qui finalement a pris en charge.
C'est une boulangerie-pâtiserie correcte et bien située. Les employées font de leur mieux. Par contre il serait bon d'afficher les prix pour plus de transparence et de correction.
