Architecture
The museum has a circular shape inspired by the round huts of Africa. It has an area of 14,000 m2 and includes 4 levels and an esplanade. In addition to the exhibition halls, it includes an auditorium with 150 places, reserves and administrative premises, a multipurpose room dedicated to the public and finally a car park with 106 places.
Schedule and prices
Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. He is closed on Mondays. The prices are very accessible. The entrance is at 2000f/person for a simple visit and 3000f for a guided tour.
Visit
As soon as you enter on the ground floor you will be struck by < > 12-meter high baobab weighing 20 tons, work of the Haitian Edouard Duval Carrié located in the heart of the museum.
