Senegal: President Diomaye creates a Higher Council for Education and Training

Senegal is about to undergo a major transformation in its education system. President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has announced the establishment of a Higher Council for Education and Training. "In order to ensure better management and optimal coordination of school and university activities, the President of the Republic has decided to create a Higher Council for Education and Training, a supervisory body housed at the Prime Minister's Office which will ensure, with the participation of the stakeholders involved, the monitoring and systematic evaluation of the National Education and Training Program," the Council's press release reads.
