Skate-wear, better known as street-wear, referring to street fashion, that is, the outfits we wear in the streets of the city, gives another image to the world of fashion. It is in this perspective that the OTHERWISE CLOTHING brand was born. OTHERWISE is an international brand that aims to promote African culture through street-wear, while giving another positive representation to the latter. The brand was created in 2013. Five years already that many collections have been put on the market, each different from the other, with a multitude of t-shirts sold. It continues to grow, in particular, through its objectives, which is what prompted us to organize a fashion show in 2016 at the Place du Souvenir de Dakar, a parade crowned with success. With this in mind, the OTHERWISE group will bring something new to its production by trying to reconcile tradition and modernity: hence the release next August of a traditional-modern collection. This choice is part of a promotion of local creation in terms of street wear. Because we believe that quality is not only what is done elsewhere, but rather an ability to want to do things well out of respect for our customers but also and above all by revering the image of Senegalese fashion. Ultimately, it is this obsession with a job well done that inspires us to work hard to raise local production to the top of international fashion. All this within the framework of a specific concept called “DIFFERENTLY” which is one concept among many others but whose meaning goes beyond the word. For us, it's not just about making clothes available to our customers, but about cultivating in them a behavior that consists of thinking, acting and doing things differently, hence the name OTHERWISE.
