Cinema Canal Olympia Dakar

The long-awaited Canal Olympia Dakar cinema was inaugurated on May 11, 2017 in the presence of the President of the Republic Mr. Macky Sall and the Vivendi group, ambassador of the project. It is located on Boulevard de l'Arsenal, behind the Grand Théâtre, Dakar. The room with a capacity of 300 seats is equipped with digital projection and sound equipment including a Scope screen. An outdoor stage with several thousand seats makes it possible to organize concerts. On the practical side are announced: 18 cinema screenings per week, 6 days a week, at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on weekends. The entrance fee is set at 1,500 FCFA for adults and 1,000 FCFA for children under 12 years old. Part of the turnover generated by admissions will be donated to the local producers of the films, in order to supply production.
